What to check when a user cannot log in or cannot access a module.

Login issue checklist

Check account status and credentials before changing permissions.

  1. Confirm the user is using the correct login email or username.
  2. Confirm the user account exists and is active.
  3. Reset password if the user forgot it.
  4. Ask the user to try logging in again.
  5. If login works but modules are missing, check role and staff linkage.

Module access issue

If a user can log in but cannot use a module, the role or assignment is usually the issue.

Tips
  • Teachers may need class or subject assignments.
  • Finance users need the accountant or approved finance role.
  • Admins should avoid giving full access to users who only need one workflow.
